Goodbye Inventory
Built for resellers who refuse to compromise.
Goodbye Inventory is a premium beauty-wholesale platform for resellers, carrying more than 130 premium beauty brands, and Eyal Gantz runs its engineering as fractional CTO and lead engineer. Reseller commerce breaks the standard Shopify mold: buyers want any lot size under strict case-pack rules, while the business runs a high-velocity live-shopping motion across daily auctions and drops, and off-the-shelf Shopify cannot enforce that logic or keep a fast-moving catalog reconciled with real stock. Gantz led the full build and chose a hybrid stack. A custom Shopify storefront carries the buying experience, backed by a custom Laravel application on Laravel Cloud that owns inventory reconciliation, catalog sync through the Shopify GraphQL API, and webhook-driven order flow, with Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, and MySQL underneath. Case-pack and lot-size rules are enforced at the source, the live-auction layer stays consistent with the catalog, and monthly subscription boxes plug into the same engine.

What problem did Goodbye Inventory have?
Reseller commerce breaks the standard Shopify mold: buyers want any lot size with strict case-pack rules, while the business runs a high-velocity live-shopping motion across daily auctions and drops. Off-the-shelf Shopify can't enforce that logic or keep a fast-moving catalog reconciled with real stock.
How did Eyal solve it?
A hybrid stack: a custom Shopify storefront for the buying experience, backed by a custom Laravel cloud application that owns inventory reconciliation, catalog sync, and webhook-driven order flow. Case-pack and lot-size rules are enforced at the source, the live-auction layer stays consistent with the catalog, and subscription boxes plug into the same engine.
