The Problem
Selling the same limited stock across a storefront, multiple locations, and several marketplaces is a recipe for overselling, and overselling means cancelled orders and damaged trust. Stock, pricing, and fulfillment had to stay truthful in near-real time across every channel, without anyone reconciling spreadsheets by hand.
The Approach
A custom Laravel application on AWS (Vapor) treats the warehouse system as the single source of truth and pushes inventory to Shopify the moment it changes: location-aware, HMAC-verified, only writing when a number actually moved. From there the same catalog fans out to marketplaces and into fulfillment and accounting, with a Horizon-managed queue absorbing spikes.
